Tomorrow, Tyr Jami will participate to a Pop Montreal panel about how artists use their practices as means of generating historical knowledge, while connecting with and researching their ancestries. The event starts at 11:00 am at the Rialto and it’s free!

FANNY: The Right to Rock à Pop Montréal!

Ce soir, Fanny: The Right to Rock, de Bobbi Jo Hart, aura enfin sa première montréalaise! Dans le cadre de la soirée d’ouverture de Pop Montréal, le film sera présenté à l’Entrepôt 77 à 20h00, suivi d’une performance live incluant la guitariste de Fanny, June Millington, et le groupe NOBRO qui fera des reprises de Fanny. On se voit là bas!

Today, Fanny: The Right to Rock, by Bobbi Jo Hart, will finally have its Montreal Premiere! As part of the opening night of Pop Montreal, the film will be presented at Entrepôt 77 at 8:00 pm, followed by a live performance including Fanny lead guitarist, June Millington, and the band NOBRO who will do fanny covers. I’ll see you there!

The world premiere of Sisters: Dream & Variations was screened at Cinema Quartier Latin, co-presented by RIDM and Pop Montreal. The film was part of the official selection, in the “New Visions Competition”

La première de Soeurs : rêve et variations avait lieu au Cinéma du Quartier Latin, co-présenté par les RIDM et Pop Montréal. Le film faisait parti de la sélection officielle, dans la catégorie “Compétition Nouveaux Regards”.
