Today, FANNY: The Right to Rock by Bobbi Jo Hart is coming into cinemas across the USA! The theatrical run with Film Movement kicks off tonight in New York City at Quad Cinema, with a LIVE performance by Fanny bandmates!

Best Cinematography (Claire Sanford and Sam Trudelle), Best Sound (Daniel Toussaint and Ginette Bellavance), and Best Editing (myself!). It is with great joy and gratitude that I receive this nomination, which I share with the director, Bobbi Jo Hart, who took risks by throwing herself body and soul into this project and who brought to light extraordinary musicians, the legendary FANNY. Also, a warm thank you to Robbie Hart, co-producer of the film, for his unconditional support. Vous pouvez lire d’excellentes critiques sur le film dans Le Devoir, The Montreal Gazette et The Globe and Mail, dans lequel mon nom et mon travail de montage sont mentionnés, si je peux me vanter un peu “C’est expertement monté par Catherine Legault”. FANNY: The Right to Rock, un film que j’ai monté, réalisé par Bobbi Jo Hart, débute en salle ce lundi, 18 octobre, à 21h00 au Cinéma du Parc. C’est l’histoire incroyable des pionnières du Rock & Roll FANNY, le premier groupe de femmes à avoir sorti un LP dans les années 70, avant même The Runaways et The Go-Go’s. Après avoir fait le tour du monde et gagné de multiples prix, le film sort enfin ici! Ne manquez pas ça 😀

It’s the incredible story of the Rock & Roll pioneers FANNY, the first all-women band to release an LP in the 1970s, even before The Runaways and The Go-Go’s.
